The Hunger Games

The film was released on 23th of March 2012, and the director is Gary Ross. The plot is based on a book by Suzanne Collins. The main actors are Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta), Elizabeth Banks (Effie), Liam Hemsworth (Gale) and Woody Harrelson (Haymitch).

The story is about a country, which is called Panem, and is divided in 12 districts. 2 young people of every district have to go to play The Hunger Games. These games are about 24 people, who have to kill the other players to win. Katniss and Peeta are the people who represent the 12th district in The Hunger Games. The players have to pass a test, and Katniss’ mark was an eleven. People know her at the name of “The girl on fire”. The players stay in a luxurious place.
When the game starts, they start to kill other people.
Katniss makes a friend, Rue. They go together everywhere, but one day, another boy wants to kill the two girls, but he only kills Rue. Katniss was very sad.
At the end, only 3 people stay alive: Katniss, Peeta and Cato. People who control it add some enormous animals to the arena and these animals eat Cato.
Peeta and Katniss are the winners, but one person tells them that only one can be the winner. They think that they will die together, but at the end they don’t do it.

I recommend this film to teenagers, because children don’t understand it. The plot is original and interesting. I think that it was so complicated to make this film, because it has a lot of special effects. This film has got a lot of success, because people really like it.
